The Lead Java Developer will work as part of a team to significantly enhance commercial portals and ecommerce applications.

We are looking for a strong developer who is proficient with Java and has some experience in a leadership role.

Will lead, design, code, test, documents and deploy web-based applications and technologies.

- Will function as the senior lead developer and provide guidance to other developers.
- May receive baseline guidance from web architect management, but will be a hands-on lead developer and write code, create technical design documents and develop appropriate test scripts.
- Will significantly participate and contribute to architecture design sessions.
- Will be part of a web development team that designs and implements database-driven Web and eCommerce solutions for web-enables devises.
- Handle all aspects of developing Enterprise Java Bean components and participate in debugging code.
- Responsible for quality and delivery of advanced, integrated and diverse technical products in schedule within prescribed resource limits and in accordance with client requirements and departmental standards.
- Will provide expert technical programming but also be a backup in system administration or Oracle database.
- Must have strong programming experience in Java, applications knowledge, system development methodology (SDLC) application infrastructure and quality management.
- Must possess extensive knowledge of current and web technologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience with any of the following application servers; WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering.
- 5+ years experience with designing programming web or client server solutions.
- Multiple operating systems, computing platforms, networks, databases and application systems.
- Desirable: WebMethods, Struts 2, CXF, JMS, AJAX, Framework.
